Product System

The BT30 hydraulic chuck features a hydraulic clamping system. The actuation screw B drives the actuation piston, which presses the hydraulic fluid into the chamber system. This causes the expansion sleeve to clamp the tool shank. The length adjustment screw E enables easy presetting of the tool position. The toolholder body has a groove against the tool shank. During clamping, the tool shank is centered first, and then the expansion sleeve expands for a firm grip. The high clamping pressure displaces oil, grease, or lubricant residues into the groove, keeping the surfaces dry and reducing tool wear. The hydraulic fluid in the chamber system also provides a damping effect on the clamped tool, enhancing machining stability.

How to Use Hydraulic Chuck

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of the hydraulic chuck, always clean the inner hole and outer diameter of the tool holder before use, removing any moisture or oil. Avoid tightening the chuck before inserting the tool, and loosen the pressure screw if the chuck has been unused for an extended period. Ensure the tool insertion length meets the specified minimum to prevent issues like deformation or slippage. Always tighten the pressure screw fully using a T-handle wrench, and ensure the tool dimensions are within the specified tolerance range. Only use tools with a fully round shank and avoid modifying the chuck or using non-original parts. For any issues, such as oil leakage or low pressure, contact the seller for assistance instead of attempting repairs.
